Meeting Information

For 2024 we continue to run Hybrid meetings. That’s right kids, we want you showing up in person at Lone Tree Civic Center OR via Zoom. Let’s “get back to normal” and everyone show up at LTCC.

New to the Area?

Join Us: Non-members are welcome at our meetings. In fact, we’d love to have you attend. Just be sure to let someone at the Lone Tree meeting know you’re new to the club. We’ll introduce you around.

Non-members who can’t make it in person may request login info for the next Zoom meeting for Focus Club. Fill out the form below and get invited to the next 2 meetings in 2024. (Make sure you have Zoom setup and tested before joining a meeting. We cannot provide support for Zoom.)

Meeting Dates and Info

When: Focus Camera Club meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in 2024, except December. Meetings start at 6:30 PM and last until no later than 9:00 PM.

Where: Hybrid (in-person AND Zoom) meetings at The Lone Tree Civic Center. The address is 8527 Lone Tree Pkwy. in Lone Tree. (From the street level parking lot, enter through the double glass doors, then descend the stairs on the left, turn left at the bottom of the stairs. Enter the door directly ahead to the meeting room we gather in.)

Folks who are out of the Denver area can still attend via Zoom, as we have since early 2020.

## NOTE ## – Parking at Lone Tree Civic Center is limited to its parking lot and the pool parking lot next door. DO NOT park on the street or you run the risk of being ticketed. See this image for details.

Agenda:

1st Meeting – Program Night. A guest speaker will give a presentation on photographic technique, software, shooting specific places, or something to enhance your knowledge. These programs are highly educational for all levels of photographer, so don’t miss any of them.

2nd Meeting – Competition Night. Members enter their work in 4 levels, in up to 2 different media (Color Digital and Monochrome Digital), and they are judged and critiqued, including suggestions for improvement. The emphasis is not simply on competition, but also growth, and judges selected for a given topic are well experienced in the subject matter chosen for each monthly competition.

Bonus Meeting – The 5th Wednesday of the month, for those months that have one, we try to have a Mentoring Session. In 2024, those dates are January 31, May 29, July 31, and October 30. We have done meetups at a local art display or museum to review photographic works, or these Mentoring sessions can also be a photo shoot or local meetup style gathering. Be sure to check our monthly newsletters and the Calendar for more details.
