Focus Program Meeting – Presentation by Erik Holladay-McCann titled “Lighting without Tears (Off Camera Flash Basics)”

Off-camera lighting should be fun, not frightening. Too many people throw up their hands in surrender before even trying to understand this powerful tool which can take a photo from plain to powerful.

In this presentation I’ll break down several of the necessary techniques involved with off-camera flash lighting to help you become best friends with your Speedlight! We’ll explore everything from basic flash settings up to mixing “found lighting” with “fill lighting.”

Those who would like to participate in hands on learning can bring their cameras and off camera flash units.
