The recording of the presentation from Josh Berkowitz titled “Selecting photos for calls for entry and gallery showings” given to the Focus Camera Club on April 8, 2026.
Program Description
Unlike many of our presentation recordings that cover popular photo topics, this one is very specific, with the discussion centering around the club’s members only gallery exhibition we’re doing at Josh’s gallery in Denver in August. He was kind enough to come talk to us about what types of images do well, and sell well in galleries, he also talked about the process of curating images for a show, pricing for sales, and presenting our framed work in the gallery.
Some of the discussion in this video may apply to other galleries and areas, but the bulk of the conversation is relative to our club and our exhibition later this year. (We mention this only to set your expectations for the video)
Josh Berkowitz is the owner and curator for The Lab on Santa Fe gallery in Denver, CO. Info about the gallery and upcoming shows is at https://www.thelabonsantafe.com/ Please go visit the gallery sometime.
