Focus Program Meeting – This month’s Presentation by Joe Klocek is on Macro Photography
Capturing up close imagery isn’t difficult or even intimidating, in fact it can be one of the most entertaining and instructive photographic genres around. But there are a few technical terms, specified gear, and shooting techniques worth knowing.
In a short lecture, Joe Klocek will explain macro ratios, minimum focusing distances, focus breathing, focus stacking, macro lenses, and macro depth of field.
Joe Klocek has worked in the photographic industry as a photographer, salesman, and instructor since 2005. Today he teaches courses on a variety of topics, including macro, wildlife, exposure theory, videography, and studio lighting. In the past few years he has been a guest speaker for photographic societies and travel expositions.
In 2017 he published his first book, “Macro Photography: Zero to Sixty”, on the iBooks store and in 2018 he created his first video class, “Photography Essentials: Need to Know” for his website, CameraLessonsOnline.com. He lives in Denver with his wife, son, and unmanageable book collection.
